The importance of family traditions

The Commercialization of Culture render continuing traditions from our own childhood important as research shows that Traditions are Good for Children's Healthy Development.

Traditions help shape our children's personal identity. It is through our family traditions that children learn the story about who they are, where their roots originate.

Traditions -  Pass on Core Family values.....

Who doesn't love the Christmas season?

It's the time of the year when homes are filled with stars and there are delicious treats to spread warmth and joy. Have you thought about decorating your house with some nice handmade Christmas decorations?

Love, Peace, Hope and Joy - these four words signify the true meaning of Christmas.

What is Christmas without the heavenly aroma of home-baked treats? Get together as a family and whip up sweet and savory delights that are unbelievably easy to make and utterly divine to munch on!

Christmas has always been very special with carols,  baking cakes - decorating home with the Christmas tree and tinsel when we were young, -

Add to this list school plays and tableaux, visiting relatives, friends, and neighbors to distribute cakes, entertaining guests at home, giving sweet and fruit gifts to children ... well, it would go on and on.

Amidst all this flurry of Christmas activities what stood out was the happiness we got by sharing what we had with others

Value Simplicity.

The real value of a Christmas gift doesn’t have to be expensive.

In fact, simple but meaningful gifts are often more appreciated. Have children make creative arts and crafts as personalized gifts or ask them to assist us in making home-baked goodies for their friends, teachers and family.

Show your children that the best gifts are really from the heart.

Teaching your children to value simplicity will also allow them to be appreciative of every little thing that comes their way. This will lessen the tendency to feel disappointed whenever they fail to receive what they want. Instead, they will learn to value the simple joys in life even beyond Christmas.
