Help from Mother Nature : Essential Oils Tips
Eucalyptus
Good as an anti-septic, deodorant, and expectorant
When baby has a cold or upper respiratory congestion, a few drops of Eucalyptus essential oil on a cushion or soft toy will be useful due to its expectorant properties. This is marvellous for respiratory complaints and asthma.
Eucalyptus also has antiseptic qualities and can help with burns and to prevent infection - remember always that this is for external use only and under medical advice.
Rosemary
Good for its anti-septic, sedative, and relaxant properties
Wonderful for purifying baby's bedroom. A few drops of essential oils sprinkled on cushions will help prepare to set the scene for relaxation and sleep.
Also good added to hair washing for dandruff and scurf or to a bath for a stimulating effect.
A salve made from the oil can be applied to sores, eczema, bruises and wounds. The herb is well known for its anti-inflammatory action.
