Tips to Clean Baby's Favourite Ted

It's tarnished by diverse dirt collected both inside and outside, chocolate and dribble marks. It has an unidentified and unpleasant smell. But it is baby's best friend!

Is it machine washable?

Whilst you will not be able to wash at a high enough temperature to destroy absolutely all bacteria, by adding a laundry disinfectant in the softener department of the washing machine, the wash will be efficient even at 30 or 40 degrees.

Please ensure you use a hypoallergenic disinfectant adapted to baby's sensitive skin.

How often should you wash it?

It is up to you to decide. Some paediatricians are against washing too often, as Ted's smell may be an aid to build baby's emotional life. But you cannot let baby play with a breeding ground for bacteria!

How to recover Ted?

Baby may refuse to be separated from Ted even for five minutes.

If you cannot convince him, try to have a double of Ted to substitute when necessary; or you could wash the toy when baby is sleeping.

When they are older, make them participate in the washing -  baby may be delighted to help give Ted a bath!
